Delivery information

  • The delivery cost for your goods is dependant on the total weight of your parcel, and includes a small charge for packaging.

  • If your parcel is unusually bulky, or your delivery is long distance, the cost may include a surcharge.

  • Try our postcode checker to find out if we deliver to your area.

  • A tip for cheaper deliveries- two pieces of wood 1.6 m long will be cheaper to deliver than one piece 3.2 m long. Where possible, keep the lengths you order as short as possible to avoid length surcharges from the courier.

Good Timber Delivery Policy


This delivery policy gives details of the delivery methods, delivery periods and delivery charges that apply to any orders for our products made through our website or by email or telephone.

This policy is not intended to and does not create legally enforceable rights and obligations.  It merely indicates our usual practice in relation to the delivery of products.

Delivery methods

We will deliver to the following countries and territories: UK mainland and Northern Ireland.

Delivery charges

Delivery charges will be calculated and applied to your order either during the checkout process, or when a timber order is confirmed.   All amounts are stated in GBP and are inclusive of VAT at the current rate.

Receipt and signature

All deliveries must be received in person at the delivery address, and a signature must be provided, alternately a pre arrange location for leaving your parcel/s safely can be arranged with our staff.

Additional deliveries and collection

If an initial delivery attempt is unsuccessful, our delivery service providers will make one further attempt to deliver your products.

If the second delivery attempt is unsuccessful, our delivery service providers will leave a card at your address, with instructions on how you may collect your product.  Such instructions will include a time limit for collection.

Delivery problems

If you experience any problems with a delivery, please contact us by email to, by telephone on 01327 344550 or 07599 028 604 or through our website at contact us.

If our delivery service provider is unable to deliver your products, and such failure is your fault, and you do not collect your products from our delivery service provider within the time specified on the card left at your address, then we may agree to arrange for re-delivery of the products, providing that we reserve the right to charge you for the actual costs of re-delivery.

An indicative list of the situations where a failure to deliver will be your fault is set out below

1. you provided the wrong address for delivery;

2. there is a mistake in the address for delivery that was provided;

3.  the address for delivery is not reasonably accessible;

4. the address for delivery cannot safely be accessed;

5. where in person receipt is not required, there is no easy and secure means of leaving the products at the address for delivery and there is no person available to accept delivery; and

6. Where in person receipt is required, there is no person available at the address for delivery to accept delivery and provide a signature.
