Talc Stone

Can be carved with conventional woodworking tools and is similar to soapstone. With an appearance similar to marble, it is extremely soft and can be carved and turned with conventional woodworking tools without fear of blunting.

Using high-grade sand and glass paper, a highly polished finish can be acheived with ease. Talc stone can be finished with oil, varnish or wax (even clear shoe polish achieves a satisfactory result).

The final look of Talc Stone usually only appears during the final phase.

A very rewarding experience even for people who are new to this material.
