CHESTNUT HARD WAX OIL is a clear, quick-drying blend of natural oils and waxes modified to form a tough seal on wood, making it ideal for many different uses where a tough finish is requirey, including areas, such as wooden worktops, flooring, and items that are subject to a lot of handling.
The penetrating film produced will not peel or flake in normal usage
Not suitable for exterior use.

Shake well before use.
Hard Wax Oil should only be used on unsealed wood. Ensure that any stains used are allowed to dry thoroughly.
Apply Hard Wax Oil liberally over the surface using a brush or cloth, wiping off any excess after a few minutes. Further coats may be applied in the same way, leaving at least 4 hours between coats, depending on conditions.
For best results lightly sand between coats.
A very smooth surface can be achieved by applying Hard Wax Oil using very fine abrasive.
Once completely dry (minimum 48 hours) Hard Wax Oil can be buffed with Burnishing Cream for a brighter finish.
Areas of high use/traffic may require further applications over time to maintain the finish; simply clean the surface thoroughly and apply another coat.
Drying time: 4 hours between coats | 48 hours final curing time
Coverage: 6 - 8m2 per litre
Compatibility: Can be used over Spirit Stains
Thinner: Not normally needed; use White Spirit if required and to clean brushes
Safety precautions: Saturated cloths should be laid flat to dry or stored in an airtight, lidded glass container to avoid the risk of sponteous combustion
Conforms to EN71 for use on toys.
