Woodturning

We have a handsome selection of woodturning blanks in most of the timbers available as board stock (as well as some other timbers) around 2,000 blanks at most times

Bowl Blanks

Bowl blanks are typically available from 50mm to 100mm in thickness and diameters between 100mm and 360mm, depending on what we have available in board stock.

Spindle Blanks

Spindle blanks are typically available from 50mm to 100mm in thickness and between 200mm and 460mm in length

African Blackwood Bell Blocks

We currently have conical clarinet bell block seconds (blanks used to make the trumpet ends of clarinets) in African Blackwood available. The timber used for instrument making has to be completely flawless; these blanks have been graded out because of minor defects, but they're perfectly adequate for small tuning projects.
At £3.50 per bell block, they are a great bargain.

Pen Turning Blanks

Pen Turning blanks of 20mm x 20mm x 150mm are available in a variety of attractive timbers and are sold as follows:

75p each for 1-9 blanks
60p each for 10-19 blanks
50p each for 20 or more blanks

We also have pen blanks available in some exotic timbers, such as African Blackwood and Lignum Vitae which sell at a higher price. Unfortunately these are not available for quantity discounts.

Carving

We carry a regular stock of square-edged carving blocks in various dimensions in Lime and Iroko in various thicknesses, widths and lengths.
