Grading

Prime Grade This is the highest grade available, predominantly taken from heartwood but containing some sapwood. This grade is used for floors that need a uniform overall appearance. Some allowance must be made for slight irregularities in the timber, such as small burrs.

Natural Grade This grade shows up the natural character of a timber with variation in colour and characteristics. Open characters, such as checks and knots are admitted but must be sound.
