that are
end-matched (tongue & grooves on the ends as well as
the edges).

Grading |

| Prime
Grade |
This
is the highest grade available, predominantly taken from heartwood
but containing some sapwood. This grade is used for floors that
need a uniform overall appearance. Some allowance must be made
for slight irregularities in the timber, such as small burrs. |

Grade |
This
grade shows up the natural character of a timber with variation
in colour and characteristics. Open characters, such as checks
and knots are admitted but must be sound. |
